A clutter-free environment does wonders to clear your head. I am always working on both results—reducing clutter and thinking better. How about you?
Try this: have a family contest or one with just yourself. Walk through every room and have each person (over 5 or 6 years old who is able) simply pick up only their personal belongings and put each thing where it really goes. No fair touching anyone else's stuff or making an issue of messiness.
It is like an instant housecleaning and I guarantee you will all feel better about your surroundings. If you are TV watchers, use the time commercials are aired to do it. Painless in bits and pieces. But even if you do it all at once it is a very quick job. Try it on Sunday night after dinner. It makes Monday mornings a lot easier.
Just like what you've said. sometimes procrastinating is not a evil, just must know how to handle it.. By the way this is helpful article for others..!!!

That's a great idea! Turning clean up and de-clutter time into a fun contest sure would turn an otherwise boring activity into something to really look forward to!
