I regret my long absence from this web log. My husband has been ill for some years with Alzheimer's but his condition has worsened dramatically in the last few months. So I became a fulltime caregiver. It is progressing very quickly, which means 24 hour care. For a long time I could handle things along with help from family but that is no longer possible. So we are seeking placement for him. Fortunately, although he is getting weaker, he has no pain. And, for the most part he is pretty docile.
As you might surmise, I have many handwriting samples of my husband's writing over decades. Changes in his writing were notable from the point his speech became affected and as the years continued he has lost his ability to communicate. He neither understands very much nor can say a lot anymore. Sometimes, he can make some pen strokes and manage an unreadable signature but more often not.
This has illustrated to me how close the mind-body connection is, particularly how the motor skills are affected by a jumbled brain. It can be caused by disease, emotional trauma and the effects of alcohol.
I am headed for some R & R but will be back here in the middle of April with much more to share. We will talk about identifying self-esteem, building healthy relationships by checking handwriting clues and how to apply this tool in the hiring process. And, of course, more on signatures—hands down (ouch!) the most popular topic.
I invite you to review some of the posts under the categories of the holistic factors and the trait indicators, which were some of the earliest posts. They will give you a refresher course in the basics. That will help you follow things to come if you are a regular reader.
I also will have some news on classes I am doing—you can be a part of them from your own home. Interested??
Thanks and stay tuned...
